Working in the heat

Anyone who works outdoors is exposed to daily hazards that can cause long-term health problems: heatstroke, circulatory collapse – and even skin cancer caused by UV radiation. These risks develop gradually, often without you realising it in time.

So make sure you check the current UV index every day and learn how to protect yourself and your colleagues.

As an outdoor worker, you’re also entitled to a voluntary occupational health check-up for your skin and eyes – the costs are covered by your employer.
